Figure Sculpt from Live Model, 2006

This is a figure sculpt from a live 3 hour model session in 2003. I always attempted to figure out how to be "painterly" and quick with 3d computer graphics, especially on their own merits. I didn't like just making them "look like paint" but rather how to embrace the technology in a painterly way. That means jamming polys together, letting tessellated geometry show, and otherwise embracing the errors and accidents. I don't think I ever perfected it, but it was a lot of fun experimenting.
